What is Fair Trade ?
The fair trade movement focuses on building fair trading relationships between consumers and the artisans who create these products. This way, the artisans end up seeing the profits for their hard labor.

How do we know it is fair?
It is regulated by rules and by organizations such as the Fair Trade Federation. Some of the rules that apply to the fair trade industry are: payment of a livable wage, gender equality, safe and healthy working environment, environmental sustainability, and education as a means of promoting fair trade.
